We are a group of four families who purchased this gem of northern Michigan with the goal of restoring it to its former glory and preserving it as a place where our families and yours will be able to create cherished memories for generations to come. We took over as the new management just in time for the 2022 season.  Little did we know all the quirks that would go into buying a 1940's resort!

In our first season we quickly realized the resort needed some TLC to best serve our guest.  Within the first three weeks of ownership we painted almost all the units, replaced all bedding, installed a new start-of-the-art water filtration system (we definetly now have the best well water in notheren MI), refreshed the beach and landscapping, and bought grills for each unit.  The tube TV's in each unit had served their pourpose at the time, but we knew they had to be replaced with new smart TV's, which also meant new high speed WiFi connections for the entire resport.  This was all in three weeks before we even took our first reservation!

After the 2022 season, we started our second phase of renovations.  First up was removing the old carpet from each cottage (we're on a beach with sand - carpet did not make sense!) and replacing it with new hard floors.  Each shower has new hardware now, and many were completely rebuilt.  The electrical has been revamped, removing the old 1940's fuse-style circuits and replacing them with new breaker boxes and updated wiring.

We're not done with upgrades (I'm looking at you kitchens) and continue on plan on making upgrades each season.  You can follow our journey below as we post about changes (both big and small) that you will see at the resort.
